Jon Lester’s return to the Big Leagues for the Sox is tonight! Another great moment for the young survivor. Jon had his stellar rookie season in 2006 cut short after being diagnosed with a treatable form of anaplastic large cell lymphoma in late August. He was 22 years old at the time of his diagnosis. He was declared cancer-free in December!
I started to root for Jon when he first put on the Red Sox uniform. Now, I will always and forever root for Jon, because he is a cancer-survivor. GO JL!
